Last weeks badminton

Last week saw very little badminton for myself as I was sunning it up in Greece :) first day of training out there became my last, running 9k in 44 degrees was not nice! Since I came home Saturday I have had 4 oncourt sessions. Each session is now going to contain a lot more game play due to my first tournament coming up which is the middle of September, hopefully the summer training will pay off.

Training since the Uber Cup

Hi,

I have been back in Loughborough since the Uber Cup a couple of weeks ago.
All our training up here has been centred around BUC's finals which are a week this weekend.  Loughborough is hoping to get to the final, however face tough competition from Bath in the semi finals.

After BUC's finals, we have the European's in mid April, so I will hopefully get back to Cardiff for training with Sarah, as preparation.

We also have the first round matches for the BE Cup coming up, Loughborough Students have won the event for the last two years, and we are hoping to do well again this year.

Moran wins Welsh Satellite Circuit Finals!!!!

Fifteen year old Aimee Moran of the RVBA won the Welsh Badminton Satellite Circuit Finals last weekend with two of the players that have been consistently dominant in the Circuit tournaments this year.

Aimee beat Helen Stoddard 21-10 21-12, and then beat Amy Genders 21-16 21-7. Yet another great win for Aimee, especially after beating the Spanish u16 No1 and winning the Catalan u17 Open a few weeks ago.

Another Great resut for Aimee and the RVBA, the Cardiff Badminton Club.
