Spanish Badminton League and Junior Badminton Events
The First leg in the Semi final of the Spanish Badminton League did not quite go as well as we all hoped. We lost the match 3-4, and it was the first match, Mixed doubles with Sarah and I that proved to be the decider. Having won the first set and had match points in the second but lost 26-24. The third was not as evenly fought.
The rest of the matches went as expected, with a good performance from youngster Jesus Lorenzo in the singles who almost beat Spanish No2 Valazquez.
Sarah Thomas played well against Chinese player Bing Xu, but was not able to fully push her Chinese opponent.
So we lost lost, and have to turn things around in the second leg match in 3 weeks time
Sarah Is playing in German Junior Badminton open this week, at the moment she is in the Quarter final against a Korean player.
The other junior players are all training hard ready for Junior National Badminton Championships next week in North Wales.
