RVBA Badminton Badminton Wales pair Richard Vaughan and Sarah Thomas went out in the Quarter final stage of the Welsh badminton Open in Cardiff Saturday to India/Australian pair of Veeran and Veeran.

The match started of close with the Veerans 11-10 infront, before they controlled the match 21-13 21-12.

RVBA coach Richard Vaughan commented "It was a good win for us against the top Austrian pair in the Last 16, so maybe today was a little bit of a let down especially after starting off so well. That said the Australian pair are very good else they would not have got to the final of the Scottish Open last week. It was another good learning experience for Sarah and thats the main aim of the mixed doubles".

Next up is the Irish Badminton Open in Dublin starting thursday.
