Good weeks training after a bout of German measles! Started using the new scoring system in training and its certainly different, I think I like it! But it depends if I start winning in competitions or notJ. The scoring makes experience and tactical/technical knowledge on winning points very important.

Disappointing not to play in the Welsh open this year, generally I thought the tournament was a little weak being only a B Grade, that said the Mens singles was very strong considering, and it seems my former coaches Lee Jae Bok, and Ian Wright are doing a great job on the English Men’s singles side.

This week see’s the first of two RV Academy camps, bit of a first for me and I appreciate the help of the other players and coaches helping out over the two days. Also looking forward to working with players who seem really interested in the sport, hopefully that enthusiasm will remain after some 3-4 hours hard trainingJ.

Cardiff City FC 5th in the Championship!!!!!!  That’s a first, A good Christmas could see them securing a permanent playoff spot, due to training and being ill I have not been able to make it down to Ninian the last weeks (it’s a tad cold down there!), my father has and has been very praising of the team which is another first!!!!

Finally I am very happy to be selected to represent Wales for a 3rd time at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. It would be great to equal or improve upon the Bronze medal in Manchester, it will be a lot harder after the various obstacles since Manchester but there is nothing quite like a challenge, and I could not have a better partner than Kelly in the mixed.
