The RV Academy launches its first 2 day training camps over the Christmas holidays, the two camps are open to everyone, but places are limited to 12 players so spaces might go fast.

RV ACADEMY CHRISTMAS CAMPS

The RV Academy launches its first 2 day training camps over the Christmas holidays, the two camps are open to everyone, but places are limited to 12 players so spaces might go fast.

Numerous parents and players who are unable to attend the weekly academy sessions have made enquires regarding the possibility of Training camps, so these first two camps are aimed at giving players a taste of what the weekly sessions are like.

The camps head coach will be Richard Vaughan (British No1), with the Academy's Don Griffiths there daily as well as Chinese sparring player Zhu min, and Ladies doubles player Piret Hamer. In addition to the Academy coaches there will be sessions from Zhou Junling (Richard Vaughan's coach) and Peter Bush (English National coach& coach to Richard Vaughan). There will also be additional players and coaches as required. For those players travelling cheap local accommodation will be found.

Camp 1 - St Cenydds Leisure Centre, Caerphilly

December 18 th 12-2 & 4-6

December 19 th 10-12 & 2-4

Camp 2 - Caerphilly Leisure Centre

December 29 th 11-1 & 3-5

December 30 th 10-12 & 2-4

The content of the sessions will concentrate mainly on technique and routines, not so much match play or fitness work.
