RVBA Update
Catalan Badminton Federation
This week saw the RVBA's Sarah Thomas win her singles match versus Ana Ferrer in straight sets as Madrid Paraceullos beat Valencian team Xativa 6-1 to continue their challenge to win the league in the Spanish Club Badminton Championships. Sarah was also joined by RVBA player/coach Alistair Casey who won his games easily despite a long flight back from a commitment in Mexico.
Elsewhere the Catalan Badminton Federation have had their last training sesson in their old Congost Training centre as it is rebuilt to higher standards, hopefully finished late 2010. That will be a great step forward for the Federation which this year came second in the Spanish u15 Team Badminton Championships, and had a hoast of individual Silver and Bronze medals.
The RVBA's Aimee Moran has been selected in the Welsh team to play the European U17 Badminton Championships in Slovenia. Aimee will also be joined by the RVBA's Tim Stranks whom will be representing England at the tournament in two weeks time.
