Wales have claimed a gold medal at the Badminton event at the Special Olympics in Warsaw, Poland.

Kevin Egan, who has Down Syndrome, came first in the men's badminton singles.
The 36-year-old from Abercynon is now setting his sights on representing Great Britain at the London Olympics in 2012.

A great achievement for the Mid Glamorgan player, and I am sure that better is yet to come.
The RVBA sponsor Memory Lane Cakes is also involved here as well as Kevin’s father and coach Peter Egan worked for Memory Lane Cakes in Cardiff for many years.
