The RVBA supported by Memory Lane Cakes Tsung Fong Mo last weekend took part in the Grantham u13 Gold Badminton Event. The first major junior event of the season.

Tsung Fong recently sponsored by Badminton racket manufacturer Sotx UK, and was keen to make an impact early on in the season.

In the group stages Tsung Fong was up against England’s Johua Hong winning 21-8 in the third set. In the second match Tsung Fong beat Zayd Sheikh from England 21-17, 21-14. In the Last 16 Tsung Fong lost to the seeded Alex Pandya from England 20-22 in the third game after a very long match.

RVBA Head Coach Richard Vaughan commented “It is a  good start to the season for the 12 year old, and a clear indication of Tsung Fongs potential. He is definitely one to watch for the future”.
