The Glamorgan University Badminton Team has had another successful badminton year with both men’s and women’s teams promoted.

The Women’s badminton 1st team gained promotion to BUCS Western Badminton Conference Division One (Only one league down from Premier South).

The Men’s 1st Team have won the Western Badminton Conference Division one, and have gained promotion to Premier South where they will be playing the likes of Bath, Brunel, and Bristol universities.

Excellent results for the local University Badminton Team coached by RVBA coach/player Vaughn Tovey. The University supports numerous local talents such as Vikki Jones, Gareth Day, Nicole and Craig Walkley to name a few. Richard Vaughan commented “Vaughn has done a great job with the University team and they will now be playing in the top division with the likes of Team Bath. It is also great that so many RVBA players are involved , and that we have a strong local link with Glamorgan University”.
