BadmintonLife.com is an online community for badminton fans, and badminton players.  Whether you just like to follow your favourite stars results, or you’re on the court daily yourself, this is the place for you.

Created by Peter Rasmussen and Emmet Gibney in 2009 the goal of this website is an ambitious one, to help badminton to become the most popular racket sport in the world, more popular than tennis.

Peter Rasmussen is most well known for his epic World Badminton Championship finals win over Sun Jun in 1997. In winning this match Peter became the first Dane to win the title since 1977 when the event was first held. Peter is also a European Champion and has won several major events on the IBF (now BWF) Tour. Now Peter continues to play in his home country of Denmark in the Danish League. When he’s not on the badminton court Peter is medical doctor busily researching eye cancer, and spending time with his wife and 3 kids.

Emmet Gibney has played badminton competitively in Canada for the last 15 years, and his professional experience includes working for the Badminton Players Federation as their webmaster and journalist. When Emmet isn’t on BadmintonLife.com he’s busy with his media company Helmsley Media which includes a number of other online media properties.
