51 teams have travelled to the Polish capital of Warsaw to compete in the 2010 European Men’s & Women’s Team Championships. 26 men’s teams and 25 women’s team are there to try and win a medal, and also qualify for the prestigious Thomas & Uber Cup badminton finals in May.
 
The home stars are ready to put up a good performance in front of their home fans.

The following players from Badminton Wales have been selected to travel to Poland on Monday to compete in the Thomas and Uber Cup, the equivalent of the Mens and Womens World Badminton Team Championships.

Both badminton teams are in groups where they can be competitive and we wish them well.

Three RVAB players are selected for the event Sarah and rachel Thomas, and Vikki Jones, all look to play a central part in the teams success.

RVBA Player Rachel Thomas commented "I am really looking forward to this weeks Badminton Event as it was a great experience two years ago in Holland. Hopefully as the team is a little older than previous events we can get some wins and look to challenge for the top place".
