The draw for the Badminton Wales National Championships has been released, with exciting matches from the very first game.

The Mixed Doubles event looks to be the toughest one to win this year, with many good pairs in the draw. The RVBA' s Richard Vaughan and Sarah Thomas World Ranked 57 will be the pair to beat.

The draw for the Badminton Wales National Championships has been released, with exciting matches from the very first game.

In the Men’s Singles Jamie Van Hooijdonk, European Junior Silver Medallist will be looking to retain his Yonex Senior Nationals title. Standing in his way will be favourite and no 1 seed Irwansyah former Yonex Welsh International Winner. Raj Popat World Number 188 and 2007 Yonex Senior Nationals Winner will be looking for revenge this year and should face Jamie in the Semi Finals.

In the Ladies Singles current champion the RVBA' sSarah Thomas will be looking to retain her title. Sarah will have some stiff opposition in her first match against Vikki Jones and also 2nd seed Carissa Turner.

The Men’s Doubles see Martyn Lewis and Matthew Hughes looking to clinch their 6th Men’s Doubles title in a row. They will face some tough competition from James Phillips and Joe Morgan and also newly formed partnership Irwansyah / Nic Strange.

The Ladies Doubles should prove to be an interesting affair with some tough matches in both groups. This event also see’s both seeded pairs in the top 100 of the BWF World Rankings.
