Robert Mateusiak and Nadiezda Kostiuczyk - Poland's best shuttlers and recent winners of the Hong Kong Super Series today did the draw for the 2010 European Men's & Women's Team Championships. The event is played in their capital town of Warsaw from 16-21 February.

Nadiezda Kostiuczyk did the draw for the women's team event - and she gave her team a very tough draw.

Poland's women were drawn in the strong Group E where France is the seeded team. The other two teams in the group are Scotland and Ukraine. Before going into the tournament is seems very difficult to predict a clear favourite in this group.

The reigning champions from Denmark are top seeded, and were drawn in Group A alongside the teams from Greece, Estonia and Czech Republic.

Robert Mateusiak was drawing the teams for the men's team event - and he drew his own team in Group B alongside second seeded England, Austria, Lithuania and Spain. England seems to be favourites in the group - but with the support of their home fans, Poland will strive to cause an upset in the early rounds.

Denmark are also reigning champions and top seeded in the men's event. They too have five teams in their group, and they will be up against Iceland, Finland, Hungary and Croatia in the preliminaries.
